About Marie
Marie Gutierrez is a proud Filipino-American dancer, performer, and teaching artist. She’s a born and raised Los Angeles Valley Girl who graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.A. in Cinema Television Arts, Entertainment Media Management.
Marie is also a proud ensemblist who has toured the country with the Broadway National Tours of THE PROM and Lincoln Center Theatre’s THE KING AND I. Other favorite adventures on stage include: IN THE HEIGHTS, MISS SAIGON, HOW TO SUCCEED…, THE LITTLE MERMAID, HELLO, DOLLY!, JOSEPH…, SWEET CHARITY, and HAMLET: THE ROCK MUSICAL.
Off stage, Marie has 15+ years of experience as a teaching artist. She has worked with youth performing arts groups, choreographed and directed educational musical theatre, and has been a choreographer, clinician, and adjudicator for many award winning middle and high school show choirs across the country over the years.
Marie loves to travel and taste great eats and is always looking for recommendations for both! 🙂
