About Benny

Actor, singer and stage director based in Southern California. I attended Los Altos High School and Citrus College, majoring in music, dance and the Performing Arts. I worked in many major Civic Light Operas in the area; Fullerton, San Gabriel, Whittier/La Mirada, South Bay before I was hired as a Guest Entertainer for the major cruiseline, Princess Cruises. I performed globally on their ships as a lead singer for 16 years, traveling the world and singing many different styles of music. I was later cast as Kevin Rosario in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical IN THE HEIGHTS. Working with the pre-HAMILTON team of Thomas Kail, Alex Lacamoire, Andy Blankenbuehler and creator/star Lin-Manuel Miranda was an honor and the thrill of a lifetime. I played Kevin all over the US, and subsequently directed 4 sold-out regional productions of ITH in Southern California. Also played Senator Max Evergreen in the national tour of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT. Favorite roles include Gomez Addams in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Juan Peron in EVITA, Bill Austin in MAMMA MIA! and Tito Merelli in LEND ME A TENOR. I have been a part of many developmental Latin musicals including EASTSIDE HEARTBEATS, PASAJE, AMERICA TROPICAL, and Ed Begley Jr.’s CESAR AND RUBEN. In 2020, I was cast as King Agnarr in the FROZEN show at Disney’s California Adventure. I continue to work seasonally for the Disney company doing hosting and singing character roles.
